Sufjan Stevens, following the release of applauded indie albums Michigan and Illinois, claimed that he would write an album for every state in the union. For more than a decade, states from Idaho to Florida have waited for their moment in the sun.

"Enter L.A.-based writer, comedian, and online prankster, who’s spent the last month doing what Stevens wouldn’t, albeit in an abstract fashion... he got the idea to crowdsource his own 50 States project from musicians throughout the country." (A.V. Club)

This song, written for ARKANSAS, is part of this project to crowdsource Sufjan's remaining 48 states (+ Puerto Rico).
